Welcome to the Digital Age, where we choose not to benefit from the endless access to information within the reach of our fingertips provided by the technology we ourselves have worked hard to institute, and instead choose to obliterate our brains by redefining procrastination, losing our ability to think, and watching cat videos on YoutTube. It is foreseeable that the magnificent monster, technology, will consume society, (if it hasn’t done so already) which may have intense negative impacts on education. Williamson highlights the close connection between knowledge and evidence by equating the extensions of the two concepts. (Harman 2003) It is important to mention that Williamson acknowledges only propositional evidence and knowledge in his theories, therefore his thesis should be understood according to that . Prior to the presentation of Williamson’s thesis it is important to clarify what does he understand by knowledge. Williamson suggests that knowledge is a fundamental, yet incomprehensible concept that should not be analyzed in the traditional (JTB) sense. His theory therefore is a â€Å"knowledge-first† kind (McGlynn, 2014). This particular realm of philosophy postulates the reconsideration of our established beliefs about knowledge as it fails to capture the nature of knowledge . He explains knowledge from a reversed order by claiming that knowledge is the foundational basis of several other epistemological concepts, such as justification or evidence. The E=K thesis emerged as a consequence of this reasoning. The argument that the totality of one’s propositional evidence equals the totality of proposition that one knows is a quite unorthodox one, therefore it begs explanation (Williamson 2000). â€Å"The Wanderer† is an early English poem focused on a man ‘lone-dweller’, who had recently lost his lord and consequently experiences deep feelings of nostalgia and depression. The poem cycles through present events and flashbacks to highlight the drastic difference of his current life and his life prior to the death of his master. The flashbacks throughout the poem are exceptionally vivid and provide the reader with a clear idea of the joyful life the ‘lone-dweller’ had in the past. Following these flashbacks, the reader is often introduced promptly to a cold barren landscape which highlights the drastic shift that has occurred recently for the ‘lone-dweller’. Near the end of the poem the theme of regret is introduced as the ‘lone-dweller’ becomes aware of the damages he had caused to other warriors as a result of the wars he was once part of. For centuries, men and women have murdered each other for greed, lust, revenge, etc. However, in 1959, Truman Capote traveled to Holcomb, Kansas to discover the other side of murder. Truman Capote, author of In Cold Blood, offers a close examination of the horrid murder of the Clutter family. He explored how two men of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and personalities joined together to kill an innocent family for riches. Capote provides different points of view through each of his character’s eyes for his readers’ better understanding of the murderers.
